I decided to do a project that shows my two different characters. The project is for me to go get my moms thinking of how she sees me and also my friends thinking. I’m going to use this app called Blend photo app because I will be able to take pictures of my two characteristics and collide them with that app. Around each side there is going to be a explanation of why people think of me like that . Then I’m thinking more towards the bottom here’s going to be a sentence or two about how I think of myself.

On Wednesday with Jessie, we didn’t learn anything new but we took our picture for the new project we are working on. She reminded us about the different types of way of taking pictures. Then we went back inside and grabbed the printers. After we printed our favorite picture that we took with our disposable cameras. Then we waited till the class finished so we can get to the next task. When everyone was done we applied water in our jar so that the picture will get ruined. The tables then got wet so we all got a towel and wiped them. After we placed the pictures into our jar and smelt the horrible smell the jar had. Then we closed them and put the back. Finally we left cause the class ended.

The items I put in my Mason Jar is a rock, flower which is now dead, soil, dirt, wood chips, tomato, pepper, and also little flowers I picked off the grass. I chose these items because I wanted to make my jar look nice and pretty.  Also I picked whatever was around me when I was in the Mar Vista garden. I predict that when I add water the jar will fill up and you will be able to see the objects more. Also the rock will probably hold most objects down because of how heavy it is. I believe that when I add a picture into my jar with water, it will ruin. The colors will separate and the picture will look messy and start to rip. If I could do this again the thing I would do different is to put more insects in my jar and add flowers instead of wood chips. The reason is because it will look better and also have more color everywhere. Also I would try to make the jar have more of a scene then just have things thrown in there messy

Thanks to Jessie, I have learned that there are many ways to take pictures and depending on your position, the better the picture looks. I didn’t know at first how good a picture looks from bird eye view but you really get to see everything at that point. I was surprised how good a picture looks when you have great lighting. Lighting really makes the pictures clearer and have better quality. I have enjoyed having the freedom with a camera taking pictures of nature. Nature is nice and capturing a memorie of it was also nice to do. I’m excited to do the self – portrait project because it will help me see how others feel about me . Also I will be able to tell the difference from my point of view and others point of view on myself. I was interested on gathering objects for our pictures. I want to see how they make the pictures better and what they will do to them over time.

A food web is food chains linked together. A food web shows us the different food animals and plants eat and how they are all connected. The yellow fin tuna is both predator and prey. Predators are in a food web because a food web has the species that eat and get eaten by, therefore a predator has to be on there to show that other species get eaten. A prey is on a food web to show that they are getting eaten by certain species. When one part of a food goes extinct then it becomes like dominos, the reason is because others can’t rely on another species to eat because they might be decreasing in food because of the species that died off. Humans can hurt the food web because we eat sea animals which decreases the amount of fish and sooner or later there some be enough for the other sea species. Humans can help the food web by protecting the ocean instead of endangering it because helping it will allow more species to survive and they could feed on each other.

Health care is when you either go to the doctors to check your health and body. But it could also be medical insurance because it’s to protect you and your health from being damaged. Getting hurt and going to the doctor or hospital to see if you are okay is also a cut of health care because you are getting medical procedures to improve a humans well being. That may be done by getting surgery or getting medicine to help your illness or injury. These are normally given to you by physicians or doctors. The health care items or services covered under a health insurance plan which is medical insurance. In California most people have medical insurance but the ones who don’t, may have to pay a fine according to http://www.kqed.org/news/health/obamacare/obamacare-guide.jsp

The Yellowfin Tuna weighs at least 400 pounds with a height of 7 feet. The Yellowfin Tuna could increase and decrease depending on its habitat and species around them. The Tuna normally travels ocean to ocean because of overfishing but could be found in the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean. Also it could be found in tropical and non tropical seas including the Mediterranean Sea. They are always traveling from Japan to the US Pacific Coast. A Yellowfin has a torpedo shaped body with a dark metallic blue back and yellow sides. Also they have a silver belly and long anal/dorsal fins. You could find bright yellow finlets on them as well. Depending on their habitat, they mostly eat squid, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, lobster, oceanic crabs and also a variety of fish. 

Aerospace engineering deals with designing and building machines that fly. It is one of the newest branches of engineering. Aerospace engineers design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites and missiles, according to the BLS. As technology became more in everyday life and got more advanced, two specialties emerged; astronautical engineering which designing aircraft which focuses on the design and development of spacecraft and aeronautical engineering, which involves designing aircraft. Aeronautical engineers are primarily involved in designing aircraft that fly within Earth’s atmosphere, while astronautical engineers work with the science and technology of spacecraft that fly outside Earth. The other side of aerospace engineering is rocketry and spacecraft. The most famous people in this field were Robert Goddard, who constructed and successfully launched the first liquid-fueled rocket and  Werner von Braun, who developed the first ballistic missile and went on to become the first director of NASA’s Marshall Flight Center. Aerospace Engineering seems like a fun and challenging career. In the future I would like to get into more research with this career and see what its more about.

               In Star Science we are learning about Marine Biology. We were separated in to 4 different groups and my group was the Oceanographers. We mainly study the marine life, and the geology of the sea floor. There are a lot of amazing things deep down in the oceans people barely get to see but most of it is being damaged cause of the people. Coral reefs are dying, fish are dying and the food chains are breaking. Mainly cause the oil spills, and the pollution and trash humans put out in the world. The ocean is becoming a dump to humans and that needs to change because our food resources are dying and habitats are being destroyed. I researched questions my group asked and I learned that these oil spills are really destroying the water. They are killing the sea creatures and ruining the Marine life. If I could do anything to help fix this, I would. Now since I realized how much we liter, I try to pick up as much trash as I could.
